13 November 2008 - Angie Speaks to Innsbrook Rotary

Over eighty members were in attendance as Angie brought her very popular presentation, "Growing Your Business Through Practice Management," to the Innsbrook Rotary in Glen Allen, Virginia. "I think, especially right now, employing best practices within business is a topic on everyone's mind. People want to learn how they can streamline, how they can use current technology to help them work smarter, and how important having the right team in place is to the succes of their business," said Angie. With the 2008-2009 Rotary International Theme being "Making Dreams Real," Angie encouraged attendees to keep focused on their goals and keep planning for the future.

 

 

 

 

 

22 October 2008 - WIFS National Conference

 

October 2008 found Angie in Chicago, Illinois where she was asked to conduct a session at the Women in Insurance and Financial Services National Conference. In her session, Angie spoke to over 150 members about the importance of Practice Management. In addition to speaking to the group about hiring the right people, delegating, and developing processes, her presentation conveyed a sense of urgency when talking about managing a practice and moving it forward, telling participants to start young, because "life happens." Angie stressed never to miss an opportunity to talk to those around them about what they do because you never know when life's challenges will affect the stability of someone's financial future.

 

12 September 2008 - WIFS Atlanta EXPLO!

 

It was a balmy September day and Angie was in Atlanta. Angie had been tapped by the WIFS (Women in Insurance and Financial Services) Atlanta Chapter to be their two-part keynote speaker for their annual EXPLO conference. During the morning session, Angie spoke about Practice Management. Her presentation covered the Art of Delegation, the Power of the "Button" (using technology), Process Evaluation, Planning, and Weathering Feast & Famine - All in illustration to the audience of how to successfully grow their practice. After lunch, Angie once again took the stage to talk about the Courage to Continue. This portion of her address was designed to give tips to the audience to employ when running a business becomes overwhelming and to overcome the thoughts to give up and quit.

 

 

27 August 2008 - Where Much is Given, Much is Expected

 

In August, Angie was requested to speak at the New York Life Executive Council meeting. In her address to the group, Angie spoke about Where Much is Given, Much is Expected. Her presentation touched on how when you are blessed, it is your duty to give something back - whether through Mentoring: the Sharing of the Torch, Tapping Junior team members to revitalize your business, creating loyalty, and examining your position as a "counselor" to others. The presentation was video-taped for New York Life's training library as an inspiration to newly named Executive Council members.

 

2 June 2008 - The Human Side of Management

 

At a June meeting of the Women's Leadership Forum produced by New York Life, Angie was honored to be among four panelists chosen to speak to a New York City group that included a live audience, as well as six other New York Life locations participating via satellite. Angie was joined by Eileen Slevin, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, New York Life; Sara Badler, Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, New York Life; and, Patricia Barberi, Senior Vice President, Individual Policy Services, New York Life. The panel focused on the Human Side of Management, using "The Power of Nice - How to Conquer the Business World with Kindness," by Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval as a springboard for their discussion.

 

25 April 2008 - American Society of Women Accountants, Richmond, Virginia

 

At the April 25th meeting of the American Society of Women Accountants, Richmond Chapter, Angie reprised her popular Financial Consciousness presentation with a focus on Practice Management. The women in attendance were given solid tips on why evaluating their processes makes them more "conscious" of decisions they make for their businesses, why taking time to plan is the crux of a successful practice, and how delegating activities can help you work smarter, not harder.

 

21 April 2008 - Court of the Table Designation

 

Outstanding client service, ethics, and professionalism have elevated Angelia Z. Fritter to qualify for the exclusive "Court of the Table" of the Million Dollar Round Table - the Premier Association of Financial Professionals(R).  Achieving Court of the Table status places Fritter among the top professionals in the global life insurance and financial services industry. It recognizes Fritter for demonstrating exceptional professional knowledge, client service, and ethical conduct. "Attaining any membership level in MDRT is a distinguishing career milestone achieved by less than 1 percent of our industry's professionals around the world," says MDRT Presidnet James E. 25 February 2008 - Agent of the Year

Angie Fritter, President of The Fritter Group, has been named Agent of the Year for the Richmond General Office of New York Life Insurance Company. M. M. "Randy" Murchison, Partner with the Richmond Agency of New York Life Insurance Company, complimented Angie, "In my 30 years in the insurance industry I have rarely had the pleasure of working with such a professional. Angie exhibits all the qualities that it akes to be the consumate financial professional. Her care and devotion to her clients, associates, company, and family is the hallmark for her success. I am proud to be associated with Angie and we at New York Life are fortunate to have Angie as one of our own. Bravo, to one who earned and is deserving of such an accomplishment."

19 February 2008 - Remax Allegiance, Midlothian, Virginia

In her presentation to the Remax Allegiance office in Midlothian, Virginia, Angie put a different spin on her popular talk about Financial Consciousness. "Bearing in mind that this was a group of business owners in a specific industry, I know it is important to give them tips they can immediately apply in their business to become better decision makers," Angie said. In her presentation to a packed room, Angie focused on the importance of moving from reactive to proactive management of a business - being financially and fiscally conscious of how you operate, what processes can be made more effective, and how to stay in touch with what goes on in your business. "When talking about financial consciousness to the business owner, it is about taking control - rather than putting out fires."

1 February 2008 – Angelia Z. Fritter Makes MDRT
 
Angelia Z. Fritter obtained Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) for the eighth time. Her MDRT membership places her among the world’s top life insurance and financial services professionals. Clients can rest assured they are doing business with someone who demonstrates superior product knowledge, exceptional client service, and unquestionable ethical conduct. MDRT is recognized throughout the industry as the standard of excellence in life insurance performance.
 
9 January 2008 -  River City Express Network, Richmond, Virginia
 

To get the year started off on the right foot, Angie was asked to present Financial Consciousness to a group of 50 women attending a meeting of the River City Express Network chapter of the American Business Women's Association. In her presentation, Angie described how important it is to be "conscious" of the decisions we make with our finances and to plan our goals to ensure we progress towards them. The diverse group of women commented that they appreciated Angie's "candor and practical advice." And, that she demonstrated "passion for her work" and displayed a "positive, can-do attitude about a sometimes frustrating subject."

 

11 December 2007 - Coastal Virginia Express Network, Norfolk, Virginia

 

Tuesday, December 11, 2007, Angie spoke to a group of Norfolk businesswomen on how to become "Financially Conscious." Just as we go to the store and end up with a cart full of groceries "not on the list," many times, in our business or in our home, we are not conscious of every dollar that gets spent, or have not planned / budgeted to purchase items we need. Angie provided the group with a budget worksheet and other tools to take them from an unconscious to a conscious financial state in 2008.

 

28 November 2007 - William Byrd Community House, Operation T.E.A.M.

 

November 28th, 2007, Angie took part in the William Byrd Community House Operation TEAM. Operation TEAM (Together, Everyone Achieves More) is a program developed to provide High School & Middle School students with entrepreneurial and life skills training and experience. During the project, students learn from both a classroom curriculum, as well as real-world experiences brought by business and community leaders. Angie spoke to the students on How to Grow Your Business Through People Skills.

 

29 October 2007 - Forty Things To Do When You Turn Forty

 

Advice from Angie Fritter of The Fritter Group was recently featured in "Forty Things To Do When You Turn Forty: 40 Experts on the Subject of Turning 40," edited by Ronnie Sellers. In it, Angie talks about how at age 40, people have very different financial needs. Some may have found their footing as a professional, whereas some may be changing careers, or re-entering the workforce - but one product that virtually every 40-something can benefit from is Life Insurance. Angie reviews multiple practicalities of life insurance from the more traditional thought of protection for your family to the use of cash accumulation for business venture funding alternatives. 18 October 2007 - Women in Financial Services (WIFS) Conference

 

From October 18-20 in Phoenix, Arizona, WIFS held their “Supporting, Encouraging, and Advancing the Success of Women in the Insurance and Financial Services Industry” Conference. Angie was requested to and participated on the Top Producers Panel at the Conference to share her experiences and mentor other women in the industry.

 

1 September 2007 – The Fritter Group, LLC

 

Effective September 1, 2007, Angelia Z. Fritter and Associates updated their name to The Fritter Group, LLC. Although the name changed, one thing remains the same: The Fritter Group continues to provide the same outstanding and personal service to clients. Angie says, “I love what I do because I am blessed with such great clients who appreciate our relationship. The relationship building has been the biggest catalyst to my practice. I consider myself a specialist at relationships. We care about our clients reaching the goals that are important to them. Christ’s focus is service to others.  At The Fritter Group, it is our desire to serve, as well.”

 

12 August, 2007 – Magnificent Masters in Financial Planning

 

Angie was recently interviewed and her comments published in Magnificent Masters in Financial Services, Amazing Women – Sensational Stories (Ginger Cockerham, MCC and Diane Dixon, CLU, publisher iUniverse). 30 June 2007 – Angelia Z. Fritter Makes Chairman’s Council

Angelia Z. Fritter has obtained Chairman’s Council level and is the only representative in her local Richmond-based, New York Life office to attain this level for the 2006-2007 reporting year. This is Angie’s first occurrence of obtaining the Chairman’s Council status.
