Short term monetary goals
Ask yourself - How would having the funds you need to do the things you want affect your peace of mind? How about when your car needs repairs not covered under warranty? How about when you and your family want to take a much needed vacation? Or, how about when the holidays roll around and you would like to budget for gifts and travel?
Most people turn to using credit when it comes to making even the smallest purchase. But, with planning and structure, you can have peace of mind that when you need funds for short term goals, you have it. It starts with identifying those goals and then creating a structured plan to allocate funds towards the fulfillment of those goals. The Fritter Group helps you determine what your short term goals are and plans out the road map that successfully gets you there. top of page
Long term monetary goals
Just as you have short term plans that take you through the year, so, too, do you have goals that extend 5 or 10 years – or even much longer. Is it a vacation home on the water? Is it private education for your children? Is it starting your own business? Share your goals, let The Fritter Group help you plan, and help you rejoice in the fruition of those goals.
Disciplined planning and execution means you can reach your goals. We sit down with you, ask you questions, and most importantly, we listen to your goals so that we prudently plan for helping you achieve success. top of page
Asset Allocation
A large part of planning to reach your financial goals is creating an asset allocation that is appropriate for you based on your goals and your ability to tolerate risk. With that said, the best performing asset may be different from time to time – Thus, having a mixture of assets is more likely to help you reach your goals, whether they are long-term or short-term goals. Furthermore, periodic rebalancing of your portfolio is an essential part of helping you reach your goals.
Typically, an asset mix can include liquid savings, certificates of deposit, mutual funds, annuities, and insurance just to name a few. The thing to remember is, no one can tell you what the best mix is without taking time to understand you and your goals. At The Fritter Group, getting to know our clients, their families, and their goals – and then planning accordingly, is the cornerstone to our relationships. With The Fritter Group, it is personal. top of page
Risk Tolerance
Know thyself. An open and honest view of what your tolerance for risk is should be one of the first steps in planning for your financial future. Why is it then that so many planners use a cookie-cutter or one-size-fits-all approach to planning?
At The Fritter Group, we assess your tolerance for risk during our initial conversations. We look at return versus risk based on your goals and the timeframe you have to get there. Taking chances that keep you up at night are not worth it. You should be secure in the knowledge that the choices made to help you achieve your financial goals are ones that you can live with comfortably. top of page
Pension Maximization
You face a tough dilemma if you're in line for a pension at retirement. It could cost you and your spouse thousands of dollars and take a big chunk out of your children's inheritance.
It's called the "pension dilemma," because you may end up making a trade-off on your pension — deciding whether to take your full pension benefit and expose your spouse to a loss of benefits at your death, or taking less than your maximum benefit in exchange for continuing benefits after you die for your spouse. Fortunately, for many couples, there is another alternative. It's known as pension maximization.
In a (very large) nutshell, Pension Maximization is an insurance option that enables you to take your full pension benefits at retirement and use a life insurance policy to replace the lost benefits for your spouse if you die first. top of page
Disability Planning
No one likes to think about getting hurt, having to miss work, or worse, changing a lifestyle due to a severe injury. One area that is often neglected as part of an overall plan is Disablity Planning. By not having Disability Insurance, you expose yourself, your family, and your business to financial risk. All the retirement planning, automatic savings, the best asset allocation, the best funds and best returns will count for nothing if you have to invade your retirement savings due to a disability before you actually retire.
But, you should not be fearful. The Fritter Group can help you incorporate Disability Insurance as part of your overall plan and structure the right coverage to meet your needs and goals. top of page
Retirement / Estate Planning
When most people think about Estate Planning, they think it's not for them. People have a misperception about what estate planning is all about. You do not need a huge mansion to plan for your estate - the fact is, if you own a home, or even if you rent, you have an "estate."
And, the sooner you start planning, the better. Maybe one day, one say soon, or one day in the distant future, you might like to take it easy. Maybe even retire - working on your golf game instead of working in the office, gardening, vacationing with your grandchildren, or sitting back and relaxing with family and friends. Just as important, you also want to have all your ducks in a row, so to speak, so you can ensure your loved ones are well provided for in the future.
None of these goals just happens. They are the result of decisions you make today. That means retirement planning and estate planning - mapping out a strategy to create options for you and for your family. Fortunately, there are more retirement and estate planning choices available today than ever before. THe Fritter Group is here to help you begin the process of planning. top of page
